  • Mahindra & Mahindra maintained its leadership position by selling 20,151 tractors, marking a 24.48% growth over last year.
  • Swaraj Tractors followed closely with 15,415 units sold, a 26.08% increase.
  • Massey Ferguson recorded 11,028 tractor sales, holding a 13.14% market share.
  • Sonalika Tractors sold 10,410 units, representing 12.40% market share.
  • Escorts Kubota also saw growth, selling 8,662 tractors with a slight increase in market share.

The numbers show a healthy mix of strong brand performance and rising demand across the agricultural sector.

Year-to-Date Retail Tractor Sales (April 2025 – August 2025)

From April to August 2025, total retail tractor sales reached 3,78,199 units, up 11.44% from the same period last year.

  • Mahindra & Mahindra led the pack with 88,870 units sold with a 0.06% increase in market share.
  • Swaraj Tractors followed with 71,697 units, an 8.74% increase.
  • Sonalika came third with 50,514 units sold, up 10.93%.
  • Massey Ferguson and Escorts Kubota completed the top five, selling 44,856 and 40,846 units respectively.

State-Wise Performance

  • Uttar Pradesh continued to dominate with 55,072 tractors sold, accounting for 14.56% of total sales.
  • Rajasthan was second with 46,750 units, contributing 12.36%.
  • Madhya Pradesh followed with 44,301 units, benefiting from favorable weather and stable crop cycles.
  • Maharashtra recorded 40,838 units sold, while Gujarat came fifth with 37,034 tractors and 9.79% market share.
