Ashish Nagpal Brings 12 Years of Bajaj Auto Experience

Nagpal joins ITL after around 12 years with Bajaj Auto Ltd, where he most recently served as General Manager and Category Marketing Head. During his tenure at Bajaj Auto, he handled category marketing and growth strategy across multiple segments, including:

  • Commercial vehicles
  • Commuter motorcycles
  • Electric scooters
  • Marketing activities across Latin America

His experience spans brand building, category development, international markets and growth strategy.

Earlier Experience Across FMCG and Consumer Brands

Before joining Bajaj Auto, Nagpal held marketing, sales and channel-related roles at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Wrigley and Eveready Industries. This cross-industry experience has given him exposure to consumer marketing, distribution channels, category management and market expansion.

What His Appointment Means for ITL’s International Business

The appointment comes as International Tractors Limited continues to strengthen its international presence through its Sonalika and Solis tractor brands. With experience across automotive, consumer businesses and international markets, Nagpal’s new mandate brings together marketing, category growth and global-market experience. For ITL, the appointment adds marketing leadership to its international business as the company continues to develop its tractor brands across overseas markets.

Industry Perspective

Nagpal’s appointment reflects the growing importance of international marketing, brand positioning and category-led growth in the tractor industry. As Indian tractor manufacturers expand into global markets, marketing leadership increasingly involves understanding local markets. Strengthening dealer and distribution networks, and building brands across different agricultural economies. For ITL, his experience across automotive categories and international markets adds another layer to its global marketing strategy for Sonalika and Solis tractors.
